The benefits of aromatherapy and the types of aromatherapy oil burners available in the market.

Aromatherapy Oil Burners Nothing compares to going home after a hard day at work and lighting the  aromatherapy oil  burner instead of switching on the television. You will be surprised at how effective the vapor is as it spreads across the room. That is not all, every time you inhale; you feel the tiredness and stress seeping out of your body!

As the name suggests, aromatherapy oil burners are tools that help spread the beneficial effects of perfumes and other scents. Using aromatherapy oil burners to vaporize essential oil has become a wonderful way to enjoy the growing popularity of aromathersapy. These oil burners provide a relaxed and soothing atmosphere at home or a supportive environment for mental sharpness and creativity in an office setting.

Why vaporize?

Essential oils are vaporized because when we breathe these tiny molecules of vaporized essential oils, they stimulate the odor receptors that are situated to the base of the nose. These odor receptors are directly connected to a part of the brain that is called the Limbic system. This Limbic system is responsible for memory, moods and emotions.

All essential oils have different properties, bergamot, lavender and ylang ylang help to relax and unwind after a stressful day while black pepper, cardamom, lemon and rosemary revitalize a wary mind.

These oils can also be vaporized to stop the spreading of germs and purify the air we breathe, thus preventing the spreading of colds and flu from one family member to another. Not only this, vaporizing also helps to get rid of unwanted smells.

Ceramic Oil Burners

One way to vaporize essential oils is to use a ceramic burner. All you need to do is add a few drops of your favorite essential oil into the top bowl of your aromatherapy oil burner and then light the tea light candle underneath. Once this is done and the oil has heated, the aroma will spread throughout the room.

Electrically Heated Oil Burners

Another way of spreading the aroma is using an electrically heated oil burner. An electrically heated oil burner is preferred to a ceramic one because it does not involve a naked flame, due to which it can be left working the entire day and even at night. The only drawback with an electrically heated oil burner is that it always needs to be placed in close proximity to an electrical outlet.

When you step into the market to select an oil burner you are sure to find one that has special significance to you. You can choose an aromatherapy oil burner made up of glass, resin, metal, terracotta or porcelain. The patterns that they are available in are works of art.

                                                                                                   Here!

Aromatherapy uses essential oils for their curative properties. They give soothing effects to body and brain.

Aromatherapy uses essential oils for their remedial properties. All essential oils or essences can be divided into three classes: (i) terpenic (ii) oxygenated and (iii) sulphurized. All have antiseptic, healing and anti-bacterial properties and above all different chemical structures.

Essences are not only useful because of their bacterial action but also due to their healing effects obtained by means of a range of activities. They are also used in beauty products like soap, shampoo, perfumes and lotions. These aroma products with remedial properties help to treat acne and other skin disorders.

Essences can be divided according to these activities: antispasmodic or spasmolytic, stimulatory, hormonal and anti-fermentative. In this connection it is remarkable how the traditional use of certain plants has now been justified by qualitative analysis of their essences.

In old days people sprinkled themselves with the essence of rosemary, sage, thyme, and other fragrant plants as a protection against contagious diseases during epidemics.

It has been proved that many plants for example, produce substances with hormonal qualities similar to the female ovarian hormones and therefore behave in the same way. Sage, willow, hops, and liquorice have long been popular remedies to increase the milk flow of a nursing mother or to correct and stabilize the menstrual flow. There are most likely many other types of plant that produce such hormones or others that are akin to them. It is important, therefore, that these valuable natural resources should be discovered, classified and used under strict medical control to avoid dependence on ill-tolerated synthetic preparations.

Many people have the personal experience of the anti-putrefactive and anti-fermentative uses of certain essential oil-producing plants such as funnel, coriander and anise, which are especially effective remedies against such complaints as gastritis and colitis.
